Ángel M. Vázquez-Ramos, a native of Carolina, Puerto Rico is Professor of Music and Director of Choral & Vocal Studies at California State University, Bakersfield. He teaches undergraduate courses in music education, secondary choral methods, and choral conducting. In addition, Dr. Vázquez-Ramos conducts the University Singers, and Chamber Singers while maintaining an active schedule as guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician.
José Rivera, a native from New York of Puerto Rican descent, is Professor of Music and coordinator of Music Education at the University of North Carolina-Pembroke. Dr. Rivera has served in different capacities for the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. His research interests include world music and cultures, rehearsal techniques, and teacher preparation. Dr. Rivera is an active adjudicator, clinician, and guest conductor throughout the United States and Latin America.
